NetEase’s free-to-play superhero shooter Marvel Rivals continues its meteoric rise in the gaming world. After an impressive launch that attracted over 20 million players across all platforms, the debut of Season 1 has pushed the game’s popularity to new heights.
Just a few hours ago Marvel Rivals smashed its previous Steam concurrency record of 480,000 players with a staggering 644,000 players online simultaneously. This milestone strengthens its position as one of Valve’s most-played games.

Fantastic Four Join the Fray
Season 1 kicked off with the highly anticipated arrival of the Fantastic Four. A New Game Mode: Doom Match
Season 1 introduces an all-new mode called Doom Match, which pits 8 to 12 players against one another in faction-based battles. In this mode, every faction is hostile, and players earn points by eliminating enemies. At the end of the match, top 50% of players are deemed the winners.
Seasonal Events and Rewards
The first season also brings the Midnight Features event, allowing players to complete seasonal activities and unlock limited-time rewards. These include exclusive costumes, sprays, nameplates, and other in-game items.
