At CES 2025 Asus showed an impressive lineup of gaming laptops powered by the latest GPUs from Nvidia and AMD. These new machines promise to deliver outstanding performance for gamers and professionals.
Nvidia ROG Zephyrus G16
The ROG Zephyrus G16 laptop is a lightweight and portable gaming laptop measuring just 1.49 cm in thickness and weighing 1.85 kg. It comes with up to 32GB of RAM and the latest GPU Nvidia RTX 5090.
The laptop has 2.5K OLED ROG Nebula display offering a refresh rate of up to 250 Hz and a peak brightness of 500 nits that fits for gaming and content creation.
Strix G16 and G18
The Strix G16 and G18 models were introduced by Asus. These were distinguished by their 16-inch and 18-inch displays respectively. Both models have Intel CPUs and can be configured with a Nvidia RTX 5080 GPU.
They offer up to 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz RAM and a 2 TB Gen 4.0 SSD, providing enough memory and storage for demanding applications. The 2.5K monitors feature a 240 Hz refresh rate, delivering crisp and fluid visuals for an immersive gaming experience.
Strix Scar 16 and 18
For those seeking both style and high performance, the Strix Scar 16 and 18 are notable options. Among these laptops, Intel’s next-generation CPUs extend up to the Ultra 9 275HX and Nvidia RTX 5090 GPUs.
It supports a maximum of 64 GB RAM and 2 TB storage in SSD and can address the needs of users who work with demanding computing processes. They are mini-LEDs, where 2.5K resolution can shine at 1,200 nits, post a 3 ms response time, and have a 240 Hz refresh rate.
Finally, users can mix and match custom images or animations into the AniMe Vision decoration on top with customizable LEDs.
ROG Flow Z13
Alongside the traditional laptop computers, Asus has also made an announcement on the new Asus ROG Flow Z13 2025 hybrid gaming tablet. This ultra-portable device comes at a thickness of 12 mm and a weight of just 1.2 kg. It would therefore be good for use while travelling and for playing games. The processor is an AMD Strix Halo, and it comes with an RGB keyboard cover, thus enhancing both performance and aesthetics.
